What will happen?

Introductory Call

After you have completed the ‘Contact Us’ form, we will call you for a brief, free, introductory discussion about your concerns and to arrange an initial assessment (face to face/video/telephone). The details of the initial assessment including venue, date, time, cost and confidentiality agreement will be sent via email following your introductory discussion. You will be asked to confirm that you are happy with these arrangements before going ahead. For face to face sessions you will meet your therapist in a calm, comfortable, private office. Sessions will be one to one with your therapist. Should you wish to bring someone to accompany you, please discuss this with your therapist in advance of the session.

During your assessment, your therapist will learn more about your situation. An assessment is a stand alone appointment and will enable your therapist to make recommendations for the most suitable treatment options for you. Having attended an assessment appointment neither obligates you to go ahead with therapy, nor does it guarantee treatment with Steel Psychotherapy Ltd.

Together you will decide what your treatment focus will be and which therapeutic approach will be most appropriate for you.

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss will remain confidential within the service. The only time that we would need to share information with other professionals would be if we had any concerns about your safety or the safety of someone around you. This would be addressed openly within the session.

How much is it?

A standard Face to Face Session will be between 50-60 minutes and will cost £100.

Prices can vary depending on session length. Where there is a clinical need for longer sessions this will be discussed and agreed in advance.

Remote Sessions

If you have difficulty attending the therapy rooms, there are video/telephone sessions available.

  • Video Session 50-60 mins £100

  • Telephone Session 50-60 mins £80

  • 90 mins £120

Video sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Steel Psychotherapy Ltd cannot be held legally responsible for the security of the apps used to provide psychotherapy sessions.

Payment

We accept card payments and bank transfer. Payment will be taken 24 hours before the session, or at the beginning of the session to allow both your therapist and yourself to focus on the content of your session without distraction. If you would like to discuss these payment options further and any concessions please let us know via the ‘contact us’ tab.

Cancellations should be made 24 hours prior to the session, otherwise you may be charged a cancellation fee.
